Church Media Team Guide: Sharing Scripture During a Live Service

The media team already carries a lot on Sunday: cameras, audio, livestreams, screens and service graphics. Scripture sharing should fit into that workflow rather than complicate it.

The media team already carries a lot on Sunday: cameras, audio, livestreams, screens and service graphics. Scripture sharing should fit into that workflow rather than complicate it.

Start with the pastor's teaching

The pastor remains the source of the Scripture being taught. The media team's job is to help the congregation receive it clearly.

Keep the workflow short

A useful Scripture workflow can be reduced to four moments: the pastor says it, the Scripture is confirmed, the church shares it, and members read together.

Serve people inside and outside the room

The church screen remains useful for the physical congregation. A phone-based Scripture layer serves members watching online, at home or abroad.

Do not make the media team type everything

The more manual steps a workflow requires, the more attention it takes away from the live service. The goal should be a quick path from the pastor's Scripture reference to the congregation.

Measure the right thing

The objective is not more screens. It is a clearer Scripture experience for the whole church.
